Georgia Equality Releases Endorsements for 2020 Legislative Primary Races * PFLAG works to keep the critical family and ally voice part of the conversation. While we speak out on policy at the federal, state and local level, as a 501c3 organization, we do not advocate for or against particular candidates. We do, however, work to get out the vote, which is an important part of the process.*

Providing free and confidential support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, and their parents, families, and friends in the North Atlanta metro area. We know it can be intimidating, if not frightening, at first to share personal, real life struggles with strangers. Please know that you do not have to speak unless and until you feel comfortable. Some people just come and listen to others’ stories. Sometimes part of the process, especially in the beginning, is to just listen to others who have been where you are. PFLAG JOHNS CREEK is a safe space! And it’s OK to cry (We have plenty of tissues on hand!).

“The CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham, talked to the Charlotte Observer about why he’s turning away LGBTQ volunteers. “All of our doctors and nurses and staff, (they’re) Christians,” he said. “We believe it’s very important that — as we serve people and help people — we do it in Jesus’ name.” He said that opposition to LGBTQ rights is “part of who we are,” but also justified the policy in practical terms.”

The CDC now recommends covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others. Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities. (Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.) The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected. Do NOT use a facemask meant for a healthcare worker. Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing. Take care of yourself, your family, and others!??? https://ift.tt/39xRdgv
