LGBTQ+ people are killed every day in our country for simply existing. Pride started as a riot fighting against the violence that faced our community 50 years ago, and it is a fight we are still fighting. Hatred is loud and ugly and pervasive. Love must be even more visible and active to fight it. Rest in Power Trey Peters.
