The Cobb GSA is now meeting online and therefore able to welcome high school students from surrounding counties. Their meeting today (11/21) will have TWO guest speakers: 1. Shannon Clawson of Georgia Equality will talk to us about getting out the youth vote. 2. Alessandro Ramaldes will speak about his experience as a gay man in Brazil. This #TransAwarenessWeek it is important to remember the struggles the community faces in our society. Join us and Waves Ahead on today (11/20) at 8pm for a virtual vigil in honor of Transgender Day of Remembrance, led by Lisbeth Meléndez Rivera, MAL. We will gather to say the names of our transgender loved ones who died by violence in the last year, and celebrate trans lives to mark the end of Transgender Awareness Week.
