At PFLAG Johns Creek, we seek to support all LGBTQ+ teens & adults, and their families, friends, & allies, by providing safe spaces for open and friendly discussion. These spaces are intended to allow people to vent, receive necessary support and guidance, and to build a sense of community with others in their area with similar experiences.
If you or someone you know is in a situation of financial distress due to your status as an LGBTQ+ individual, or a parent of LGBTQ+ individuals, check out our Helping Hands initiative to get some assistance.
You can find additional information, articles, and forms of support on our Resources page (please note: we are always trying to build and improve our resources page – if you see something is missing or underrepresented, please let us know!).
If you have questions not answered on this site, we are happy to help and we try to respond quickly through our contact page. However, they are not monitored 24/7 and if this is an emergency or you think you might be in danger, please call 911.

Directions – PFLAG Johns Creek support group meetings are held at:
Johns Creek United Methodist Church
11180 Medlock Bridge Road
Johns Creek, GA 30097
The church is a large and complicated structure with a complex parking lot. For easiest access, enter from Bell Road and look for the door with pride and trans flags on the ground in front of it. The meetings take place on the 1st floor and we will put up signage in advance to help direct you.
If these meeting times or the location do not work for you, please check out our sister chapters, PFLAG Sandy Springs & PFLAG Lawrenceville.
Helping Hands
Helping Hands is an initiative started and operated by PFLAG Johns Creek in an effort to provide some financial assistance to LGBTQ+ individuals (including parents of LGBTQ+ children/youth) to help them through a difficult financial time. If an application is approved by our anonymous Helping Hands board, Helping Hands will provide a small grant ($500 or less) to be used toward basic living expenses (food, rent/mortgage, clothing, medical care) or toward any mental or physical healthcare or needs related to being LGBTQ+ (therapy, transition expenses, etc). This is intended as a one-time grant, unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances.
If you are in need, please contact the Helping Hands board below to see what assistance we are able to provide. We understand that assistance can be urgent and we will try to respond as quickly as possible, however our team is entirely volunteer based and we cannot always guarantee an immediate response.
If you would like to donate to the Helping Hands Fund, you can do so you can donate here.
