Being military, potentially losing all of my friends and family, social stigma, and many other deterring factors all contributed to the construction of a wall that I had to break through in order for me to find true happiness. The primary driver for enabling me to take those initial steps forward was the collection of stories of all the strong #trans people who came before me. Seeing so many amazing people already go through their own journey and live their life so authentically gave me the strength I needed.
